4.11s are done for
just got my diff out and looked at my gears. i just installed (about two months ago, and only 200 miles) motive 4.11s witha 37/9 tooth count, well now it is a 36 tooth count on the ring gear. the magnet on the cover was coated with metal pieces.
took it to the track and 1.59 60ft and a 1.60 60ft. started to hear a howl about 50+mph and it just got worse.
oh well **** happens, new gears are coming cant afford the 9in yet

I feel ya bro, It just happened to me. But it was the carrier. The gears are fine.I bought a 9" You know it's gonna happen again. I got a set of motive 4.11's and TA cover I'll part with. PM me. 500 miles.
Thats a killer 60 time though. Sweet!
I had a spec clutch in it but took it out when I repaired the tranny. It was still pulling but looked pretty worn until I seen the material on the new textralia. I'll let you have the clutch disc,P/P and billet steel F/W for 250.00 for a back up. It has 4K miles and maybe 35 passes on the strip.
Good luck with the 10 bolt
