You can have 3 channel abs with a 9" but it takes a little fabrication. Nobody offers it as a kit.

I think what people want to know is, has anyone swapped all the components from a 4/channel to a 3/channel car and made it work with the ford rear.
What would be involved ie.. wiring harness, sensors, computer etc.. I don't think I have ever seen or heard about anyone doing this. Can it be done with junk yard stuff without to much work/money? I don't know maybe maybe not.

My car doesnt have TCS and Im looking to buy a 9"... but I would like to keep my ABS. I do some traveling with the family... the ABS is "piece of mind" when I have my daughter and wife with me.

If theres an easy way to install TCS at the same time I swap the rear end then Ill do it... if I remember correctly I vaguely remember a harness being behind the spot where the TCS switch goes.. Im wondering if all the cars were wired for TCS from the factory?.?.?.?

TCS is run through you computer so I dont beleive you can add it after market, or if you could it wouldnt be easy. If you have 4 channel you can get your 9" set up for abs/tcs.

Yes I see that... but does it work really well? Does the signal cut out at all?

I email the guys at the place 00BlackSS recommended and this is the response I got:

Sorry, I have not found a proven method to use a 3 chanel ABS system with an 9". Only the 4 chanel is reusable with a 9" assembly. Scott K.

Which unfortunately is exactly what I expected.

I also received that email back from that company. They do not carry a 3 channel 9".
