Going from 2.73 to 3.42: series 2? I want to change the 2.73 to a 3.42 I'm getting used, ring and pinion. It's from a V6. Are they both series 2? Will the 3.42 R&P bolt right in? I'm replacing all bearings, cover and fluid because the rear is making noise now.
I'm trying to keep the cost low because I don't know if I'm moving up to a C6 next year. Thanks.

they make those gears for series 2 carriers but you better make check that it is for a series 2 carrier, and it should bolt right in with a installation kit that you can get from most of these websites like texas-speed and rapid motorsports.
