Imput please about gears on a car i am about to purchase I am looking to buy a TA very soon and i wanted to keep the milage in the 50-60k area and looking to spend around 12k. Anyway, i found a 99 TA with the WS6 hood, wheels, and other mods. It has 83k and he will sell it to me for 9,200. Does that sound like a good deal to you guys? The only thing i am worried about, but i want your imput, is he says he has 411 gears. Is that ok on a stock rear end? Does is wear anything down faster compared to stock gears? I really don't know at all, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

4.10s are more likely to break from a high rpm clutch dump. That said they are a common modification for an M6 and if the rear is quiet (no whine on decel) then you had a good installation and should be happy that you get the gears w/o spending the cash yourself.
