Question Trans Am WS6 3.23 gear

Which carrier is used stock for a WS6 with 3.23?

Is it a 3 series or a 2 series?

That's what I thought. Only the 2.73 gear has the series 2...

But, I still have to figure out why my rear sounds like something is 'grinding' (for lack of better word) when I am WOT from a dig.

Thanks

Anything with a 3.08 or lower was a 2 series carrier.

Above that was a 3 series.

unless you get the thick gear, then you can use the series 2

Uhm, I'm sure what you meant to say is: *IF* you have a series 2 carrier you need to order the "thick" or "X" gear. If you have a series 3 then you order a normal gear. The "thick" or "X" gear is NOT for a Series 3 carrier.

Figured that's what you meant. Just didn't want him to get confused.

Ouija, I was looking at your mod list, it's very impressive to say the least. What does USD mean in the cost column? I just received my Hooker cat back, after reviewing your mods I feel good about the purchase.

The pic of your T/A in the river is priceless, not many people would do that with a car like yours, very cool.

What mods are you going to do in the future? Is there anything you haven't done in the way of mods?

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah I'm crazy when it comes to water and the car. I don't abuse it, but I love the sight of it. You shoudl see the pic of my 95 that I abused, 20' rooster tails coming off the sides...

USD = United States Dollars

My Transmission is being rebuilt right now as a level 3, I'll get it back this week, and reinstall it.

I'm going to be ordering a Beefed up Torque Arm with Relocation and a deep Transmission Pan today so they can go on at the same time.

The next round of mods will finish the suspension - sway bars, controls arms, and skinnies for the front. (Possibly bushings.)

That will get the car almost done. Last major step is Heads and Cam. (I've done H & C install before on a buddy's car.)

I'm sure I'll find some other little things to do. I'm working on finishing up my custom Fuel Rail covers, custom rear Valance, etc.
