Default swap in aluminun driveshaft or no

i have a 97 z28 m6 that i use for daily purposes and some track use it isnt a high horsepower car ,just bolt ons,headers,exhaust,etcmaybe nitrous in the future but it'll be the regular 100 shot kit.just wondering if i should leave my stock steel ds or get an aluminum ds from a newer camaro?

Well aluminum isn't newer. They've been in Camaros since the 1LE IROC days (maybe even longer). THey are lighter, so you'll save a few pounds.

They aren't as strong if you ever decide to run slicks with high HP. I bought one for $125 and paid $75 to get two 1350 ujoints put in and another $75 for balancing. I wish I would have put that money towards a good DS instead.

I still haven't put the DS or the rear in my car, so I may sell it. One thing to remember is that not all places balance aluminum drive shafts.
