3.23 to 4.10 auto question

Default 3.23 to 4.10 auto question

my 98 has a 2800 stall with a 3.23 gear, im running 12.26 @ 112 mph now, what should i be running after i put the 4.10 in it also im cutting 1.7x-1.8x 60's assuming i can hook up what will my 60' drop to?

12.1 @ 113, maybe 114 mph.

Put a bigger stall in and leave the gears alone.

most people go with 3.73's in the autos, 4.10's in manuals. I'd go with 3.73's unless you are shifting high, then 4.10's should work out fine.

3.73 with a 3,500+ stall. The 4.11 will make the trans shift to 4th and the car will slow down.

do not do 4.10 i did those in my A4 liked themat a roll but at the track they slowed me down so not worth it 3.73 is good

I'd say get 3.73's or keep those gears and go to a 4000 stall if you plan on a cam or H/C in the future.. or just get a 3200-3600 stall if you never plan on touching internals.. depends on what you wanna do in the future.. But just going to 4.10's won't give you much more E.T. and will kill your gas mileage!

it will kill your highway gas mileage but improve your city mileage...

4.10's in mine I went from 2.73's to 3.42's to 4.10's.

seeing that you race the 1/8th instead of the 1/4 4.10's would be fine. 1/4 mile and your going to run out of gear so you would need a bigger tire than the stock 25"
