Spider gears closed in, paddle dosnt fit.
Am I the only one who has a problem putting the paddle block back in their 10 bolt torsen? My spider gears somehow lockup and make the space too narrow to fit the paddle. When this happens, spinning one tire turns the driveshaft and makes the the other tire turn the same direction as if it were a spool. It seems to take a bunch of cursing and screaming, jiggling and jostling of the tires and spinning the wheels in order to get the spider gears to seperate enough to accept the paddle block.
Why does this happen from time to time? It happened when I first did my 4.10s. Then it was fine when I did my axle bearings the first time. But last night when i swapped to moser axles, I had the same problem and it too an hour and a half to get the damn block back in.
