Default Insurance Buys Me Rear End

Hey guys, I recently was hit by some old man, and my rear diff case got cracked. The people over at Haddad Motorsports told me I need a whole new rear end. So my question is which one should I go with? I know a 9inch is the most strongest but I have an A4 with around 500RWHP. I was thinking a 12 bolt should be plenty.

Since you have an A4 and it's easier on the drivetrain, I'd get a 12-bolt that way you can keep the driveability of the stock 10-bolt and still beat the crap out of your car.

12 bolts are more efficient and lighter, however I am not aware that anyone offers a bolt in 3 ch. (abs only) solution.

9" is heavier, uses more Hp to turn, but is stronger, and offers the ability to easily swap gear ratios via a chunk (diff, gears, pinion) change in about 1-2 hrs. Also easier to get a 3 ch ABS setup going.

Either works fine with TCS

Moser and Strange offer 3 ch. (abs only).

Actually, you've got it backwards. 12-bolts can be used with either ABS (3-channel) or both ABS & TCS (4-channel). 9" rears can be used with TCS, but not ABS alone.

Oh yeah, thanks for correcting me. What do they use for the reluctor ring on the 3 ch 12 bolts ?

They use a reluctor ring.

On the diff ? Do they make it themselves ? Does it fit on a standard diff or does the diff have to be custom machined ? Is it only available on certain diffs, or any diff ? Does it bolt on, weld on, or press on ?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but I have been all over their web sites and never seen anything on this

I'm pretty sure it's like the stocker, where it gets sandwiched between the carrier and the ring gear.
