Default c-clip retainer

i trying to remove my differential but i cant get the retianer for the c clips out. it comes halfway out but hits the gear. is there something im missing? the gears are richmond 4.10's

Thats odd. Is this the Torsen?

Assuming it is the block or gears should be clearanced for it.

You need to take the abs sensors out of the backing plates, then the axle will slide in far enough to get the c-clip out.

theres no abs sensors in the rear. the problem is that the block that keeps the axles from sliding in that you remove before you pull the c clips hits the ring gear hwne you try to slide it out heres a picture of it
