Default just bought a 2000 pontiac formula, need some info!!

hey guys! im new to this forum and this is my first pontiac formula...anyway i own a 2000 Pontiac Formula, it has the AUTOMATIC transmission. the transmission has a Shift Kit installed and it also has 3.73 gears installed....so my questions are:

1-what is so good about the 3.73's compared to stock, is it a good thing i have 3.73s installed?

2- will the shift kit screw up my Auto Transmission?

3-i want to change all the fluids in my car, what kind of oil should i use for the transmission, rear-end differential, and gears??

thanks alot, Chris S.

To answer your questions since search is kinda messed up now
1. 3:73's will help your car accelerate faster. It can help your 1/4 mile times but you will lose some top speed. Also I've been told that they are weaker. Normally you here about this on the M-6 cars w/ the 4:10's though.
2. The shift kit actually makes the tranny stronger if installed correctly. When the car shifts w/o the shift kit it kinda slides in gear which over time will wear out the clutches/bands. Where as with the shift kit it just goes into gear w/o the slippage.
3. As far as oils go I used citgo transmission fluid. My shift kit or convertor company (can't remember which) told me not to use synthetic oil w/ their product. I used citgo 75w90 synthetic gear oil in my rear w/ a bottle of GM limited slip additive in my rear. As far as the engine I ONLY use mobil 1 5w30 for that. It's what my car had in it from day 1. (any type of gear oil/transmission oil will work I use Citgo b/c the John Deere dealership I work at is a Citgo dealer)
BTW welcome to the site I also have a 2000 formy.
