Default how far can 12 bolt be pushed

looking at upgrading rear end . how much horsepower can a 12 bolt hold? if i plan on making around 750 hp would i be better off with the 9" or will the 12 bolt hold up?

Above 550 rwhp I would suggest going with the 9 inch. Bob

I agree as a rule of thumb, but if you have a full weight car and launch the hell out of it I might lower that number a bit.
