Default 10bolt girdle stud kit?

I just got my gear kit from thunder and i was going though the box and the only thing that did not come with instructions is the stud kit. are these meant to take the place of some of the bolt for the cover? Or are they meant for something else?

The stud kit replaces the bolts for the main bearing caps that hold the differential in place.

You will notice that you have two caps, one on each side of the housing. You probably took two bolts out of each one. The stud goes into those holes. Then you slide the cap over that and then put the supplied nuts and washers to clamp it down.

Anytime you "stud" something that was "bolted", you should tighten the studs down to proper torque, and then remove the caps and "mic" them to see if there was any warpage of the material, if not reinstall, if there is warpage, replace caps with heat treated billet aluminum units (This information was given to me by the rearend shop that installed my gears).

So, to get this straight?
1. Unbolt both bolts on cap <on one side at a time>,
2. Remove cap, install stud and torque.
3. Reinstall cap and torque nut onto stud.

Is this all there is to it?

Anybody have the torque specs for the stud kit install handy? Can't seem to find them anywhere. All I've seen is 60-65ft lbs for the bearing cap bolts. Think it's safe to assume the same for studs/nuts?

As per the instructions included with my Thunder Cover;

"Break both bolts loose.Remove one bolt.Install stud and torque stud to 10 ft-lbs.Install washer and nut finger tight.Repeat for second bolt on same cap,then torque nuts to 60-75 ft-lbs (GM Applications)"
