Girdle question

Girdle question I have only a few mods (check sig) and I will be purchasing a Torque converter (2800 or 3000) and gears (probably 3:73) My question is do I need to buy the beefy girdle and stud kit when I get the gears? My rear is factory and the car has less than 33k. Its just a weekend toy and ***** magnet!! Thanks gents!!

Thats what i got, it couldn't hurt. The girdle is supposed to strengthen the rear end by pre-loading the bearings reducing some of the stress placed in them. I got the kit from thunder and it saved me about $100 to buy it together.
