I have a Truetrac in my M6 Cutlass and love it. It is completely silent, and with one wheel on dry pavement and the other in wet grass, it will spin both equally. I see no downside to it.

Just a question to the guys with truetrac's, I installed one in my strange diff last spring. I havn't driven car much and no track time on new posi but I did notice a lot of lash on and off throttle.
The spline's are the right pressure angle so it's not in the axle to diff it seems to be the locking gears create backlash as they roll around in the posi.
I can live with it but I'm wondering if they are all the same.

Mine is completely silent. Perhaps you have too much backlash between the pinion and the ring gear?

By backlash I mean that feeling of slack being taken up when you let off the gas and step on gas. It can't be the ring and pinion I only have about 5 thousands backlash on dial indicator.
