GM does not sell POSI parts?

GM does not sell POSI parts? I took the POSI unit out of our 93 Auto Z28 that we had laying around (it was wrecked). I wanted to take it out and sell it to someone I knew so he could put it in his S-10. We pulled it out and the spring retainer is broken. The GM dealership said that you had to buy the whole unit and cannot purchase individual parts. Is there an aftermarket company that sells individual parts or am I screwed? I would really like to sell it as it has 38k miles on it and I have a buyer. Please help!
