Default rear end whine

I had 4.10's put into my car a while back, and now they whine is getting louder... Almost sounds like there is no fluid in the rear end.. Also these gears were used already.

Think the gears could be worn out, and the carrier bearing is going bad? We pulled the case, and no metal shavings and plenty of fluid, no bolts lose and nothing was broke.

Mine howled like a SOB when the pinion bearing went. YOu would have thought I had a rear mounted supercharger. If the wear oattern on the gears weren't matched when reinstalled that could be the source of the noise as well.

I think my pinion bearing is gone. My axle sounds like. How hard is that to change?
