No ASR switch in 2000 Z28 Vert (A4)
Does anyone know why there is not an ASR switch in this car? Stock, would it have a limited slip, and any ideas on rear gears? Does that mean the computer will keep you from accelerating if it senses a slip? How to keep the My '98 Z/A4 does have an ASR switch and limited slip.
May be a dumb question, but sometimes you won't know 'till someone with more experience and knowledge weighs in.
Thanks,
Jim

Yes ASR has nothing to do with a limited slip differential.
It should have a limited slip, look on the door sticker for the code G80, if you have the code you have limited slip, there should also be a code near it starting with a G that tells you the gear ratio. Assuming no one had swapped any of this stuff out.
Post up the code and someone can tell you what it is, most are GU..
