Default Changing the fluid in my 10 bolt.

I have got two quarts of 80/90 gl5 gear oil and one 4 oz bottle of GM limited slip additive.

is this all I need for fluid when changing it?

thanks a lot, Troy

Take cover off and get all the oil out. Get some brake-part cleaner and spray and clean. Make sure you don't see anything looking bad. ex..major metal shavings, gears messed up etc..

Get some silicone/permatex or whatever and put the cover on.

Use a 3/8 extension and look on the side of the housing and take the plug off and add the modifier and gear oil until it dribbles out. Use a pump it makes it go a lot smoother.

Try and do this with the car level.
Now while you are doing this job sing this song

Mexican Americans don't like to just get into gang fights,
they like flowers and music and white girls named Debbie too.

Mexican Americans are named Chata and Chella and Chima
and have a son in law named jeff.

Mexican Americans don't like to get up early in the morning
but they have to so they do it real slow.

Mexican Americans love education so they go to night school
and they take spanish and get a B.

Mexican Americans love their Nana's and their Nono's and their
Nena's and their Neno's........ Nano Nano Nena Nono!

Mexican Americans don't like to go to the movies where the
dude has to wear contact lenses to make his blue eyes brown
cause don't it make my brown eyes blue.....

"And thats all i got, how do ya like it?"

Cheech and Chong always cheer me up

Edit..
BTW clean the vent with the brake part cleaner. Hope this helps with your F-body fun.. Carter

PS don't forget to sing or it won't go right...trust me

It will be a ton of fun compared to a h/c swap that I am doing right now.

So I might feel like singing.

Thanks for the help guys. I thought I knew what I needed and what to do.....I just didnt want to miss something so its always safer to check.
