Default How to break a 12bolt in an A4???

I was reading that newbie mod thread thing. Anyways he said for an A4 a 12bolt would be all thats needed, and that M6's should prob go 9inch. I was just wondering what it would take to break a 12bolt in an A4 car????

A lot. simply put, there are people running mid to low 9's with their D.D.'s and have no problems at all. They could probably go into the 8's. If they already haven't

I'm gonna run a 9" in my auto, since I've found out that I can't run my torque arm ( Jegster ) with a 12-bolt.

I'm already deleting ABS and ASR soon, and with a 9" I don't have to worry about fooling with that crap.

I don't see why you can't run that torque arm. I haven't yet found a torque arm that won't bolt up. The Moser 12 bolt uses four short bolts, which need to be loc-tited to keep them from working loose. The stock torque arm can be reused, or a BMR, Spohn etc can be used. Bob

Most torque arms just go straight forward off the bracket. The Jegster's bracket goes off to the left, THEN the arm comes off the bracket, and goes up to the body. The 12 bolt locates the TA just a tad too far left, and it hits the body.

Picture... this is on the stock 10 bolt, BTW...

I had a jegster style on my 12bolt(moser) and my car was lowered. But it didn't work at all on my 9inch (moser).
