Default Gear Install price Question?

I'am about to purchase 4.10 gears for my 10 bolt and was wondering how much it would cost to have them installed? I called a couple of shops around my area and they said it would cost about $350-450. Is this a good price or not? Thanks for the help.

I know on my old car (lt1) it cost me about 200 for the part then like another 200 for labor. On my LS1 got a 12 bolt.

I was quoted 474 to install gears from this place by me. That is if I supplied everything. That's a little pricey! But you have to expect that.

Look around on local forums... I found a reputable guy that installs them on the side and they've turned out really good. 210$ because he had to buy all the fluids, shims and the crush sleeve. Only problem w/ the way I suggest is more than likely you'll need to find someone that can recal.

Speed Inc, quoted you that low of price? That's awesome! Does it come w/ a recal?

We charge $400.00, which includes speedo recalibration. The 10 bolts rears in these cars are very weak, and we guarantee they will be quiet when they leave the shop, but no guarantees after that. One hard launch can flex these rears enough to cause gear whine that can become unbearable. Bob
