Default A strong rear for $1500-1700 possible???

I am looking to break...I mean upgrade my 10 bolt, I have done some looking around and it seems like most of these 12 bolts and 9" rears are $2200+. I cant afford that, but I dont think the 10 will hang on long enough until I can. Any help on a cheaper option that will hold maybe 450RWHP on a t56. Thanks

Every once in a while you can find a good rear in the for sale section for cheap if you are willing to go that route.

Dont waste your money on a 7.5 10 bolt w/ a T-56 car.
Save up & get a repacemnt housing 12/S60/or better yet a 9" when you can afford one. The weakness of the 7.5 is the design, the parts are just too small for that kind of power & abuse. So upgrading a 7.5 will just give you a expensive turd.

i just ordered my moser 9" can't wait.from what i understand the t56 makes a lot of tq and are harder on the rear ends this is why i went for the 9, and they are also cheaper than the 12bolt about 100$ plus no truck freight with the 9" it goes ups. they only problem i have is that it does not work with 3 ch abs so i bought a abs brake delete kit for 200$ and comes with a line lock. mind you i still have not installed any of this!

You can find a used 12 bolt for $1500. Just keep looking in the for sale section or your local forum.

try an 8.5" 10 bolt. these can be had at almost any junkyard and can be built to handle a hell of a lot of abuse.

Having somone fab up and weld on the right brackets can be expensive and very risky. Your better off not to do this. Some people have pulled it off with good results and others have spent a lot of money and ended up right where they started at.
