Default gear?

I bought a 99' A4 car two weeks ago. The first thing I notes the gear ratio has been changed. I just pulled the cover and found it is a 3.42. Would I benefit by changing to a 3.73 or would be a wast of time.

I don't think I'd spend the time and effort to go to the 3:73. Bang for the buck, you'd do better elsewhere.

Keep the 3.42's and get a torque converter!!! MUCH more bang for your buck.

Thanks, I figured they where to close together to make a big diff.
I already have a converter in the works.
