Default Help: Carrier on 10-bolt 7.5 how-to

I just bought a 7.5in 10 bolt with a broken axle and I'm putting it back together but I am having a problem putting the pin in between the axles. I'm not sure what I have but the normally round pin is a big *** square that fits down between the axles and spider gears/limited slip. I'm was told it was all factory but the dealer pictures say diffrent. I'm thinking it might be an aftermarket carrier or something, I do know it has 4.10 gears.

The problem I'm having is the Square pin will not slide down in between the axles and c-clips an such. Seems like the axles need to be pushed out towards the brakes to get an extra 1/8 inch.

Any help on What I got or how to get it going would really help, I'm realy wanting to get out and try it out with the new exhaust, street slicks, and subframe connectors.

-Ok I'm done
thanks

Problem solved;------ Bought this rear end with about 15k miles on it and the guy just broke an axle so all the parts should go right back in; i.e No grinding.

I just took apart the posi set-up and noticed the gears a little binded up. Slapped it all together and the recatagular pin fits fine.
