Default gear pattern help?

Hey guys, after doing a search is seems many of yall are very knowledgable about gears and their patterns. Here are mine, these are new richmond 3.23s in my 8.5" 10 bolt in my GN. Just wanted to get some thoughts and ideas. The BL is .010 just as the number etched into the ring gears says to try. Is the drive side mark too close to the top of the face? Thanks

IMO it looks like too much toe in the first picture.

Too deep, or too much ponion shim. I would pull out 4-5 thousands and reset backlash to .008 to .009.

P.S. Richmond gears like a little more backlash that other gear sets.

Well heres the new patterns, i went from .036 down to .031-2 on the pinion shim. Is the pattern too far towards the face of the tooth? The pattern is pretty centered on the drive side heel to toe, and the backlash is right at .010 again

Tighten up the backlash to .008 and break it in. The drive looks really good but the coast is saying it's a little shallow and I dought you have a .033 shim.
Not too bad for a Richmond gear though.

Thanks a lot Scott. i tightened it up a tad and torqued the caps down just to make sure... the drive looked exactly the same and here is the coast. It looks better to me. I guess i will run it and hope for no noise. Thanks again Scott and everybody.

Thats good for that gear, nice and rounded, not to centered but it's an aftermarket set.

Anytime.

Did you reuse the bearings or did you install new bearings? Good to hear everything went well.
