Default Which refill plug???

I just put in 373 motive gears, T/a cover, and an Auburn pro series posi into my 10 bolt. Which fill plug should I trust as far as the proper level of fluid in my rear. I have one fill plug on the side of the pumpkin and now I have one on the new T/A cover. Fluid is up to the base of the hole on the pumpkin, but I can't feel it at the base of the filler hole on the cover. Does overfilling your rearend hurt it? I think I've put about 2 1/2 quarts in and I still can't feel it at the base of the cover fill hole. The capacity is listed at 1.75. And now my rearend is not lifted of the ground, its completly level. Anyone?

I have a TA cover on mine - I always use the stock fill on the side of the pumpkin.

The easiest way is to fill it through the cover fill until it comes out of the pumpkin hole.
