I would be interested in that question as well. I just put new tire and wheels on and really dont want to put drag radials on PERIOD!! I too was going for 3:73 and a smaller stall, probably a 2800 or 3000 Yank. I question as to whether or not the car will hook up running Bridgestone Potenza 295/35/18 on 18x10 wheels. Your thoughts?

Sorry ~ever~, I didnt mean to take your thread, but......If I go ahead with the 3:73 gears and a 3000 stall then wont I get pretty descent traction? I aggree that going with a 3400 + would just roast the tires and thats why I dont want to go that high. But I was thinking with a smaller stall, 3000, that I would still get a great hole shot and be quick enough (3:73 gears) to make a real difference in my 1/4 mile time. No I have not went to the track to see what my times are right now and maybe I should so that I have some good numbers to compare to. Maybe even leave the gears I have now, factory 3:23, in it and just do the stall. YOur thoughts?

LS1's like bigger stalls than LT1's....You would wanna go with something like a 3400-3600. It's not necessarily the stall that makes the tires roast, it's the STR.
