Default moser 12bolt axle seals and bearings???

do the axle seals that are pressed on require any grease?
the seals go behind the outside bearing in the axle tube right?

the reason i ask is cause the shop that put it together didnt put the seals in and i was getting the inside of my PS rim dirty from the oil, so i bought some new bearings and seals, went to open her up and to my surprise NO SEALS!!!!WTF so i take apart the other side SAMETHING!!! i put the seals in, but i didnt grease the bearings, cause the bearings dont look like they can get re-packed. any help will b greatly apreciated!!! thanx

It should have seals, then the axle oil lubricates the bearings. You can put some grese on them for the initial install.

i thought the seals behind the bearings prevented the oil to come out of the axle tube. the bearings were on there without the seals at first and it just slowly seaped out onto my rim, now that i put new seals in it looks like i took care of the problem, but now im wondering if i should have put some grease on the bearing & the mounting surface??

They where on the housing right where the bearing was between the inner & outer seals.
The newer housings dont use them though I think?
They use the same bearings & use gear lube to lubricate them. Have you called & asked moser direct?
