Default Would it be stupid to go back to 3.23's

I currently have 3.73's in my car now, and i have been seeing a ton of fast 11 sec A4's and all have had 3.23's.....My car is not performing anywhere near what some guys locally are doing on similar setups???? could the 3.73 be hurting me??? H/C car only running 12.20's at 111

might want to look into your head and cam combo before you look at gears... im by no means an expert, but sounds like they arent complimenting each other too well. I say this because judging from your 12.2 at 111, the car is missing power and if not that, traction. you are either getting out of the hole hard and the car is laying down(which the 3.73s help prevent), or you are having a lot of traction issues. 3.73s will accelerate quicker, so your trap speed should be more than 111 with a good head/cam combo i would think. I had a 12.9@110 on 3.23s with only the mods i have listed in my sig and on nittos, so a head/cam car should stomp all over 111mph traps. i doubt the 3.73s are hurting you. maybe you should check into gettin a higher lift cam to let those heads show what they can do! by the way, where ya from in mississippi?

cool, im from Hattiesburg....yeah i have been thinking that alot myself...I really like the cam, so i may end up getting the Crane/VHP 1.8 rockers that are designed for their cams that should bring me up to a .590 lift and really wake it up. Thanks

Unless your loosing traction, the 3.73's are not hurting you.

is your car even tuned?
obviously you're not making power somewhere..at all..lol, sorry to say
3.73s are not hurting you, as someone said too. 4.10s don't hit OD til 110 so there is no way 3.73s are even close.
i was running 12.69 @ 109.8 with just headers and a tune,
and 12.30 @ 113 with 4.10s added
i'd look into a different tuner if i were you.
what are your 60 ft times?
