Default Rearend road noise

Hey guys I have a 98 Camaro SS with 117k miles on it (yes i know thats alot)

Anyways, i'm getting ALOT of road noise from the rear end, doesn't sound like grinding or anything, it's just loud. What could this be? One of my friends suggested it might even just need fluid

If it goes away when you are on the gas, and then comes back coasting, it could be the carrier bearings.

It could also be uneven tire wear. Especially if you just rotated, our cars tend to feather tires.

it does not go away when i'm on the gas, and its been doing this since the tires were brand new ( when i got the car part of the deal was him putting new tires on it)

What kind of tires? Torque arm? Rear end? Drive shaft? Tranny mount? LCAs? All of this stuff could be contributing and maybe a few others. Can you describe the noise more?
