Looking for the guys with A4's that went from 2.73's to 3.73's or even 4.10's
Just looking for some comments from you gear switcher guys. I have 2.73's and it feels like it takes hours to go through the gears. Do 3.73's move a lot faster through the gears?

I hear "4.10s are to much gear for a DD A4" from all the guys running 3.73s. However, all the guys running 4.10s say "don't listen to them, they don't have the 4.10s and they dunno what they're talking about". The 3.73s will move through the gears quicker than 2.73s and 4.10s will move through them quicker than the 3.73s.
That being said, I would get a stall converter before you get gears. A stall is the best mod I've done so far. With sticky tires and a good stall you can drop a second from your ET. If you plan on running a cam you should search around for what would suit you best, but if you are going to do just bolt ons a 3500 stall would be awesome. It eliminates the "dead points" when you floor it and it won't drop, it just slowly moves its way up. When you launch, it's similar to dumping the clutch at 3500 (or 4000, 4400, whatever your stall speed is). Fuddle has them for around $400.
For the other guys reading this, I'm looking around for the best (strongest and most reliable) set of 4.10s for a 2 series 10 bolt. So, anybody else reading this who swapped to 4.10s post up what brand/where you got them from. Thanks

98ss with 3.73, 3500 TCI streetfighter stall, and transgo shift kit, hold the F#ck on! When I stand on the gas all i feel is slight thumps as it rips through the gears. Everything said and done it cost me less than 1000 bucks to do it so it still is pretty affordable.

I switched from 2.73's to 3.73's.
When I bought the car with 2.73's I wish I had went with a Cobra. Good god that car felt damn slow with them.
I switched them out for 3.73's and got semi-tuned at the same time. WHAT a difference! First gear is ridiculous, second gear is also a killer. 3rd is decent.
Gas mileage around 16-18 City, 21 Highway. Not too bad. I love the 3.73''s, they do makenoise but I'm used to it and it doesnt bother me. I couldnt see going with 4.10's though...My RPM's are pretty high at 80...I usually do 70 or under to save gas on the highway...Not much drone btw.
