Default HP loss with 4:10's

What kind of loss of RWHP will I have if I have 4:10's in a M6?

asfaik, you don't lose HP, it just doesn't read it corredtly on the dyno. it may look like you lose about 10-15, if I remember correctly when we dynoed my friends 99 SS.

In theory NONE.

The only loss will be because of increased frictional loss, but then again you may gain on this front.

This is because the important reading is from the gearbox.

You always dyno cars in a 1:1 gear ratio, that means for 1 revolution of the flywheel the output shaft/propshaft on the gearbox also turns 1 revolution.

In M6 cars this is 4th and auto's 3rd. The final drive ratio has no real bearing on it as it isn't 1:1 anyhow.
