Default gear lube

What would you put in a fresh 10 bolt with 3.73's, its going in my 1998 SS, just wondering, I dont want a wasted trip to Autozone...lemme know ASAP. Thanks, Mike

IIRC, some 75w90 and a bottle of posi additive. Someone will need to validate this though.

Autozone ?? I wouldnt use anything they sell for a differential fluid..... at Autozone.

But fwiw, at a minimum an 75-90... or even better if you are going to get it from Autozone... would be a 90-140. And then you are going to have to find some friction modifier. I would recommend the friction modifier from Ford... if you can still get it. It is the best fric mod I have used.
