I like the 4.10's over the 3.90's but I have 4.30's in mine. At 70 you will only be around 2000 rpm's or so.

i went from 4:10's to 3:73's and now i plan on getting 3:90's. i have a full bolt on car with a 12bolt and HC. i couldnt get traction with the 4:10's even in third gear sometimes and 3:73's dont have the punch i was used to. so i think 3:90 would be a good split.

I also split the difference and went with 3.89's in my 9". I like them. Mine's a daily driver heads and cam car with a 6-speed.

4.11's here with the same cam. still under 2000@70, but you will need a good susp. setup to hook, and a really sticky tire( no drag radials). with street tires no traction till 3rd, but when it hooks it pulls like a ****! i'm thinking of stepping down in gear only because of n20. love the 4.11's!!

All depends on what you are looking for.

I had 390's in a car. top speed in 4th gear @ 6,700 rpms was 133 with a 26" tire.

My cousin has 410's in his. top speed in 4th @ 6,600 rpms is 119 with a 26" tire.

Same dyno was used for results. I would say if you are not going to break 120mph in the qtr. use 410's if your are going to run faster look to a taller tire or go with the 390's

I've got 3.90's now but I'm switching them out for 4.10's when I install a spool. Our cars couldn't be more different though and I'm looking to wring every last .001 out of my car at the track so take that into consideration. I also plan on running either a 26.4" or a 27" tall tire.

I have 4.10s in my Moser. I was wondering if 3.73s will give me better street drivability. I had 3.73s in my 10-bolt and loved it. What do you think I should do.

I don't to the track much and drive to work everyday. No hwy miles though.

I'd have gone to 3.73's instead of the 4.10's I'm going with if I wasn't trying to wring every last .01 out of my car at the track. Do you have a 3 series carrier??? If so, why not try the 3.90's. They're a good compromise. I would actually stick with 3.90's when I do the spool but spools are only 4 series and 3.90 gears are only available for a 3 series carrier. Just be aware that your car is going to be a tad slower at the track when you back up from 4.10's to the 3.73's. It doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal for you though.

Since i am going the nitrous route, i have been looking at getting some 3.90s. What do you guys recommend, 3.90s or go to a taller tire and hit the nitrous with some 4.10s?
