Default Custom build going over sea's pics.

We just finished this build up for a customer that is over sea's. It is a Moser through bolted aluminum center section with a 1350 billet yoke, 3.89 Pro gear, 40 spline Spool, 40 spline gun drilled and start flanged axles with Wilwood drag brakes. This assembly is good for well over 1500 hp and is very light compared to the other assemblies we have built. Enjoy the pics,

mmmmm, very nice I sure would like to upgrade to that setup, but I put too many street miles on my car. Maybe just the gun drilled 40's , spool, and brakes for me. Oh well, one of these days.

LOL, this build is so lite I picked it up myself and set in on the pallet so I could get it out tomorrow. I'm gonna duplicate the same build for my Z over the winter but I'm gonna reuse my 35 spline axles since I already have them with 5/8 studs installed.

Scott @ DLS

P.S. The housing is so narrow that the ends are welded right into the control arm brackets.

How much has it been narrowed on each side?

This assembly is 2.75" narrower per side and it was ordered for a 3rd gen. The housing ends are welded right into the lower control arm brackets and Moser said this is the narrowest they could make it.

I assemble all of the center sections myself, Moser just supplies me with their housing and axle package. I use Strange components in my builds since Moser's iron castings are soft.

I would have to say they shaved off 5 lbs. per axleshaft. The hole diameter was 7/8 and the axle was drilled right to where the bearing was machined at. Moser recomends not to drill axles if the vehicle is a street driven.

How is everything Jim? Looks like your car is running good these days! Mine is just about ready to break into the 8's and best pass was a few weeks ago at 9.11 @ 153 in the heat with about 4200 ft corrected.

Holy..... All is good down here. I gave the car a 6Krpm launch, and a few ~4Krpm launches at the track on some Micket E/T's, and then drove her home without even a peep coming from the rear.
