Check this site out. I think it will answer your question. You need to remember that 6th is a double overdrive. You will reach your top speed in 5th as the wind resistance vs. power in 6th will actually start to slow the car down. I ended up with a top speed of 165 based on a 6400 rev limit and 295/40/17 tires. This is in 5th I might add...

i agree in that with the .5 overdrive in 6th you'll prolly never get anywhere close to redline.

I was just curious though, so with 4.10's at 6100 in 6th gear with a 26 tall tire you're at around 230mph.

Yeah, thats what the table says. It is only using math to reach that number though. That is the theoretical top speed. Not really achievable at all as the top speed of the car is going to be determined by drag.

So, in other words, it will only take away the top speed that you would never see anyway. Therefore, it will not affect your actual top speed, since it will still be limited by the engine, and dynamics of your car.

Idk about all that if you had really big horsepower you would be able to accelerate past the aerodynamic limits of a stock car. It has a lot to do with power I'm sure.
