for those who have broken thier stock rear, im just curious of what kind of stress it was under when it broke. like what kind of 60's were you running and the amount of power to the wheels, launch speed, A4/M6. im just trying to feel out what might happen if i go back to the track with some decent tires. thanks

I put 285 nitto 555r's on and one hour later as I was on my way to the woodward dreamcruise...I was rolling at about 15 mph and I dropped the clutch at around 4500 rpms and it broke right then and there. That was before the H/C/I. I only had a cutout, catback, trextrailia clutch. 6spd obviously.

I've broken two carriers. First one went on launch when I was cam only (376rwhp), on BFG's, launching at ~3k rpms. Second time, happened sometime between the launch and the entire run because when I went to stage again, I heard a clunk in the rear during my burnout. This was with the H/C (411rwhp) launching at ~3krpms again on BFG's.

146k mile LT1
Full exhaust, CAI
2-3 Power shift on a interstate on ramp
315 shitty street tires
Sheered all the teeth just about
And when I was limping it home the tranny let loose, 1000+ in damage to that as well...

My formula also has a torsen ( ) that sucks. Hopefully being an auto it will last a little longer. Although really considering how much I raced the Z28 it held on for a long time.
You going for a 9 inch/12 bolt now?
