Default Axle bearing Install help

Just replaced bolth axle bearings tonight. Passenger side had a good amount of play up and down so i figured i would just do bolth now. Anyway after i had gotten it all back together and on the ground there seems to be a lot of play in and out if i grab a tire and push in and out (on the ground). There is also a noticable sound from bolth axles as well (clunking). I cant think of anything that i could have done to make it worse than it was before, but i didnt not have this much play or the sound before replacing the bearings. C-clips looked mint as well. I know that a small amount of play in and out is normal but it just seems excessive to me compaired to what it was before i did the bearings. Any ideas would be great.

10- bolt, 3.73g, paddle kit (installed by prev owner)
