Changing my gear/stall setup questions... I'm not very happy with my current setup, and im about to make some changes. It feels kinda sloppy and weak.
I have a 98 A4 Vert with stock 2.73s and a Dacco 3200 2.0str converter.
Im planning on going to 3.73s and a TCI SSF 3600stall.
Im wondering how this setup is going to feel as compared to my current crap? I have 295 width BFG tires now, and will be going with bfg drags in May. I want the car to launch hard and run good for stoplight dragging. Is this gonna get it done? Should i also do a shift kit with this? My dacco converter feels really loose and its only a 3200 stall, i think it may be the gearing thats making it feel this way.

In my opinion a shift kit is a must with a converter, otherwise the shifts just get washed out. I would get a stall from someone like Vig or Yank, instead. 3.73's would be fine. I have a vig 3600, shift kit, and stock 3.23's and it leaves pretty hard.
