Default Nova Rear End

Hey just wondering what 10bolt rear end came behind a 6cyl 1972 chevy nova is it a 8.5" or a 7.5" 10bolt

thanks

and if it is a 8.5" is it worth building, it would be behind a 500-550hp big block with a powerglide and a brake

yeah..if the rear has what look like dog ears at the bottom of the housing, then its the big 10 bolt the 8.5, if it doesnt then its the weaker version..the big 10 bolts are about .300 thousands smaller than the 12 bolt, and have gone in the 9's in the older cars
