what rear did the old car have?
I had a red 98 Z-28 without ASR that got whacked. i want to put that rear end my 2002 Z-28 that has ASR. yes i read the FAQ sticky but i do not know what rear end was in the other car i hate ASR and don't want it at all, along with that was wondering how to find out what rearend was in the red one. also i was wondering if i just threw the non ASR rear in and disconnected the the dummy lights if it would be ok. i thank you all in advance for your advice.

by the way that car drove i'm pretty sure it had 3.23, which is fine, like i said need to know if i could just throw the non ASR rear in and disconnect the dummy lights in the dash and if it would be fine. also if it is a 2 or 3 series rear end. there are 2 main reasons i want to change #1 is i HATE ASR i think it's for people who don't know how to drive. and 2 the rearend in the car now is f'in loud and sloppy. I really miss my old red car it was bone stock and ran a 13.3@105 on half worn fuzion zri's plus i paid half as much as i did for this one. i beat an 05 GTO on the freeway. then i get this silver one which is finaly coming along to be a nice car but it has alot of little issues. exhaust leak, the loud rearend and worn out shocks. i need to fix all these things before i do anything else like my heads and cam and the nitrous kit i have just sitting there waiting. oh well you have to pay to play i guess.
