? for those with 3.73's and a M6
I have been noticing in another thread with people talking about a M6 with 4.11's that you can make it to around 120mph give or take a few mph in 4th gear.. and at 80mph it runs just over 2000rpm
I have 3.73's in my car and in 4th I can get to maybe 105 @ about 5500 rpm I beleive...not sure though because I only have driven the car a few times after i bought it in January before I left the country and won't be back until the end of June..I will have to look at a video I made to be sure..
Questions:
1. I am wondering what MPH can you make it to in each gear with 3.73's and a M6, and what RPM are you shifting at...(I shift at about 5500 compared to when I had my LS1 which I shifted at about 6100 being I now drive an LT1)
2. And also what RPM are you running at in 6th gear at 70mph?
I have a video I did of a 0-105 run that I will look at to compare what everyone says...I am trying to figure out if I really do have 3.73's...
**Also maybe some of it has to do with the tranny...does a LT1 M6 have different ratios compared to a LS1?
Thanks guys.

here is a great gear/speed calculator
ls1 and lt1 t56s have the same ratios....except for the 93 models. they were different.

Ok I am confused...with the chart it says in 1st gear I should be able to hit 44mph in 1st gear at redline (5700 rpm) but I just watched a video I made and at 5700-5800rpm in 1st I am only moving 36mph....wtf is going on here?
Is the Speedo just that slow and not keeping up?

Ok well after trying the chart with the 1993 style M6 with the different transmission ratios it matches up..hmmm
Well the car was originally an A4 and was converted, so maybe they used the ratios from a 93 when building it?
