Still debating what gear to go with, 3.90 or 4.10. Millions of posts, but nothing really definitive for me to make up my mind.
Just want to hear your experiences and how happy you are with them, and if there is anything you don't like, added noise, too slow, too much tire spin, doesn't spin up fast enough into the power band, etc etc.
I have an M6 w/ 400+ rwhp, weekend warrior, may go to track once in a while, and take on long trips across country.

I went with 3.90's instead of the 4.10's but it's because I've got an A4. I put them in when my car was still SI and was fighting a valve float issue above 5800. 4.10's would have put my car into valve float right at the 1320' mark but would have proably been .05 or so quicker than the 3.90's. Just speculation on that one though.

I was running 4:10's on my M6 with a Moser 12 bolt...at the track I trapped consitent 121-123 MPH in 4th gear , going through the finish on the Rev limiter that was set at 6800 RPM's. On the Highway if you run in 6th gear gas mileage isn't too bad but in-town sucks!... literally. I had gear noise from day one because of how Moser set up the rearend but I got used to it, some even say their gears were more noisy after the track abuse however mine never changed. First and Second gears are worthless if your running any decent HP(on the street)...they wind up very quickly but if you hook... your car will pull very good out of the hole and they are definatley fun.

I went 3.89 instead of 4.10 because on 26" tires, I'll run out of gear on spray. I think that's the main reason to go be so picky between the two. If you don't care about running out of gear, or if you don't plan to mod that far where it will make a difference, just go 4.10s.

I just put my Motive 3.90s in about a month ago. I like them but i really think i should have just went with the 4.10s. I think my cam would have liked them a little more. There is really not much difference but if you are running a good size cam which you are i would go with the 4.10s. As far as gas mileage i am not sure i havent got to drive the car much to know that. And in all reality it really doesnt matter because they are going to break sooner or later and your going to have to go 9in or 12bolt. Well goodluck i hope this helps.

I have run 4.10's, 4.30's and now 3.90's in my stock 10bolt. I made the switch to 3.90's so I could hold the car in 4th on the spray with a stock sized tire 25.7"
I say 4.10's or 4.30's for a N/A M6... I personally loved the 4.30's over the 4.10's....truley a blast on the street with DR's.
