Default Do I need to buy a 3 series carrier?

I am thinking of getting 3.73 gears because I really don't like the 2.73 gears at all. Would I need to buy a 3 series carrier? Also do I need to buy a ring spacer or will I be ok if I buy the "thick" 3.73 gears? Also I'm not sure if it matters but I do have TCS on my car. My car is a 98 Z28 with an A4.

Thanks.

4 channel I believe because of the TCS.

richmond makes 3.73 gears made specifically for a 2 series carrier as well.
