Default Moser 12-bolt noise when braking?

I have been having this problem for some time and it is getting worse. What will happen is when doing any driving, the 12-bolt is quiet. As soon as I press the brake pedal down, I hear a banging/rattling noise coming from the back of the car. I originally thought it was the driveshaft banging the safely loop, but I ruled that out. I have changed the u-joints and the noise is still there and steadily getting worse. I took it to a buddy of mine to look at and he said it is just play in the rearend. I was watching him shift the driveshaft back and forth from the front of the car to the back and the sound was similar to what I hear when I am braking. Is this normal? Anyone else have this problem? If so, anyone fix this? I really don't believe there should be THAT much play in the rearend to make that much noise when pressing on the brakes.

We don't have problems with the Truetracs. I doubt that is the noise you would hear from inside the car anyway, but you never know. Do you still have the factory torque arm? If you do, take a look at it about six inches ahead of the rear to see if it is starting to bend.
While you are under there, make sure all four bolts are still attaching the torque arm to the rear. If the bolts are loose or missing, this may be what you are hearing. Bob

Im also having the same problem with my moser 12 bolt. I havn't figured it out for sure yet but i'm thinkin its happening because my rear rotors are warped and when braking its vibrating the rearend. And since i have an umi body mounted torque arm its translating all the noise to the body so its extremely noticable.
