Default i have 2 driveshafts....

hey guys... i just bought a 12 bolt off an individual on this boards and he kindly supplied me with 2 different driveshafts with 1350 yokes. one is a black steel driveshaft and the other appears to be a stock aluminum one with new u-joints. i do mostly street driving, but i would like to get a set of drag radials and get my 11.5 pass with my heads/cam car. which do you guys think i should use? has anyone had any bad experiences with either piece? i'm not too handy and my buddy is gonna help me install it, so i wanna try and put the right one on the first time....

ps- i do have a DS loop so i'm at least partly safe

thanks

Jacob

I know the moser alumiumn drive shaft I was running in my bracket car was rated for 1500hp for a 3000lbs car on slicks with a 4 link. Personaly, unless stock aluminum GM driveshafts are known to be weak, I wouldnt see why you would use anything but aluminum for a 400hp car weighing 3600lbs. Use the aluminum.

but if manufactured properly, why would aluminum break any quicker than steel?
