Nah, the torque arm's fine. It was a little discerning hearing the noise of something dragging then all was quiet. Looking out the rearview was interesting seeing a huge metal piece sliding across the road, lol. luckily no one was behind me. I'm pretty surprised how my car was driving without the torque arm(i had to get home somehow), vibration wasn't too bad and no increase in noise. Looks like I have to find someone to build me a better bracket. Anyone know a person in the houston area that can weld steel to cast iron and back up thier work?

i saw your carnage, man you sure are lucky not to have done a ton of damage.
i hope you dont mind but i think if you used this set up it would eliminate the TQ arm problem http://www.g-forcesuspension.com/pag...og/i.php/81/55
this set up will allow virtually any solid rear axle to be placed in our f-bodies,i ran a fabricated set up similar to this about 10yrs ago but now the way they made it,its just awesome i had to order it in fact i may just have another for my daily driver too.

looks very interesting,, just strange that the whole rear will only be held in with the 2 lower control arms, and the rear pivots off the lower arms for pinion angle

To be honest, I've only taken the car to the track once. That was with the stock ten bolt, which is why I bought this rear. I busted the ten at the track heating up my nitto's a little. My 60' times then were 2.0 babying it so I would salvage my ten. I ended up busting my stock torsen differential and twisting off the drivers side axle on the last go. It was pretty embarassing having to push the car off the track and a $200.00 tow bill. I paid $1200 for this 8.8 a little over a year ago, it came with 4.10 gears and a rebuilt limited slip unit, moser 31 spline axles, 1/2 wheel bolts, TA rear girdle, 9" c clip eliminating housing ends, 4 channel axles, lower control arm lowering bracket, ect...Of course the bracket was already welded on for the torque arm mount so I thought it was strong enough(nope). I will be going to the track soon with this rear to see if I can launch rather than bog and get into the 11's. I'm kind of leary about the g-force set up, I guess I need more proof from users. If anything later down the road, I might end up trying to incorporate the upper control arm tabs on the housing for a 4 link setup.
