Default Got Quoted $800 for gear swap. sound right?

I recently stopped into Stropes Speed Shop which is right near my house to see about a rear end gear swap in my stock rear. I went up to a 3200 stall about a year ago, and the stock 2.73 gears in my A4 feel like s**t.

Now before everyone starts jumping on me about Stropes, I only went there because it is so close to me, and I didnt have any idea how much it would be so i wanted to get an idea. I want to go with 3.73s in it.

THey said that i would be looking at:

250 gear set
150 installation kit
100 lube, misc things
200 labor
100 to set pcm for new gears
--------$800 total for a gear swap

This seems high to me but im not positive.
What do you guys think?

That is about $200 HIGH...

200 gears
100 install kit
50 lube, misc
250 labor
50 PCM tweak

That is about the norm for what I do and there is a few extra things thrown in that are not done by other shops... gear set de burr and tooth profiling etc, etc.

Labor is about right. Gear set, installation kit and "miscellaneous things" are too expensive. $100 is a little pricey just for doing the speedometer.
