Default Diff oil questions! come quick!

Doing a stock gridle swap,

wondering what brand oil yall are using ?

And what weight?

I use Lucas 80/90, but pretty much any quality 75/90 oil will be fine. Mobil1 synthetic is another popular choice, on the higher end of the price range is the Redline and Royal purple stuff.

i just did mine and used M1 75/90 with the gm additive. No complaints here.

Thanks guys! i was going to get the mobile 1 but they only had one qt, so i went with the 75w90 valvoline

how Qt's does it take anyways?

i wouldnt be asking these stupid questions if some people wouldnt lose there car manuals lol

Pennzoil 80W-90 GL-5 with GM limited slip additive (for my Eaton unit).

It takes 2 quarts. Exactly. If you use a synthetic, they normally have the additive in them. They will say on the side of the bottle. Otherwise, you have to add one bottle of the GM additive, which the autoparts store also sells.
