Default moser 9" capacity

my aluminum center has the overflow plug in the way of my torque arm mount so i cant take it out when filling my rear....
anybody remember how much it took to fill yours? i tossed 2 quarts in and called it a day, but im curius as to the exact #.

4 qts. when new and empty, and ive heard 3 when just changing fluid. Id like to know too since im probably fixing to change mine for the first time.

mine takes almost 3 i had about 1/4 of a bottle left.

i have the aluminum center and I can reach my fill plug with no issues. Just bought one of those marine lower unit fluid pumps for mercury outboards from a local boat shop for $14.95 It has a pump so you just slide the fill tube into the center then pump it like you would a soap dispenser. Trick piece that everyone I know uses.
